What Patriot does
The work, described plainly
Patriot erects structural steel framing — columns, beams, joists, deck support and miscellaneous steel — working from the engineer's drawings and the project's erection sequence. Field welding, bolt-up, plumbing and bracing are performed by crews that do this work full time.
Most structural steel work is performed as a subcontractor to a general contractor or developer, with scope, schedule and site logistics agreed before mobilization. Patriot also works directly with owners whose steel and project team are already in place.
Patriot can source prefab, pre-engineered and custom-configured steel building packages through established supplier relationships and professionally erect them. Patriot is a steel erection and metal building contractor — not a turnkey general contractor, and not the engineer or manufacturer of the building systems it installs.

Plan the lift
Crane, telehandler and access requirements are worked out against the site conditions and the delivery schedule.
Mobilize and erect
Crews mobilize to the agreed start date, erect the steel in sequence and coordinate daily with the GC on site.

Equipment & capability

Does Patriot fabricate the steel?
No. Patriot is an erector. Steel is fabricated and supplied by the project's fabricator or building manufacturer; Patriot unloads, erects and connects it in the field.
Will Patriot work as a subcontractor to our general contract?
Yes. Steel erection subcontracting to general contractors and developers is a core part of the work. Send plans and specifications through the bid invitation form.
Who provides the crane?
It depends on the project. Patriot mobilizes equipment from its own fleet or sources cranes and lifts locally, whichever makes the schedule and logistics work best. Crane responsibility is spelled out in the scope before pricing.
How far will Patriot travel for a steel erection project?
Patriot is based at Grand Lake, Oklahoma and serves projects nationwide, with a ten-state core service area and nationwide mobilization for projects that make business sense.
Can Patriot price only part of the steel scope?
Yes. Defined scopes — miscellaneous steel, a single building, a structural addition, or field welding — can be priced separately.
